Postdoc Positions Available

Cancer and Epigenetics

Postdoctoral positions are available in the field of computational biology and biophysics.

Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to: statistical inference of biological networks from large datasets, applications of stochastic processes and modern regression methods to high-throughput data analysis, and development of sequence analysis methods.

Active research opportunities are available in: developing statistical models of next-generation sequencing data, modeling three-dimensional chromatin structure and gene regulation, studying the role of non-coding RNAs in epigenetics, studying the epigenomes and genomes of induced pluripotent stem cells, and discovering novel oncogenic aberrations and tumor suppressors in melanoma and brain cancers.

A qualified individual should have a strong background in one or more of the following fields: bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or statistics. Some training in or exposure to molecular biology is preferred, but in exceptional cases, the applicant may substitute a skill and willingness to learn fast. The applicant should know how to program in at least one of C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.

Interested candidates should send a CV and a brief description of past research experience to Prof. Jun S. Song.

The positions are available immediately and will remain open until filled.
